Our Story
How it all began..
In 1951, a man by the name of Chuck Bradley, who spent considerable time with a fishing pole in his hands, came to the Colorado River with his beautiful wife, Betty Jo, his pint-sized son Mikey and the family dog Juicy. Fishing out on the lake one morning, ominous black clouds began to descend over their little family, so Chuck quickly navigated the small fishing dingy back to shore only to have that dang dog Juicy suddenly jump from the boat after some small animal.
Of course we looked and called after the dog for days, but Juicy was gone. Since then I’ve spent countless nights wondering whatever happened to that dang dog there along the Colorado River, thinking maybe he caught that animal and is living in the wild.
About 30 years later and no longer pint-sized, I returned to the area my Dad and I used to fish on Lake Havasu. When I visited I got the feeling the area could use a good family-style restaurant so I opened Juicy’s River Cafe, which has since become known in Havasu as the best place to get great service, reasonable prices and the best dang food you ever ate!
By the way, if you happen to see that dang dog howlin’ at the moon some night, let me know. He’d be pushing 70 by now, so I could probably catch him. And thanks for coming in today.
Oh, and before I forget, if we do anything that is above and beyond your expectations, please tell a friend. If we’ve done anything that could use improvement, please let us know so we can make it right. And we hope to serve you again real soon!
Thank you for being our guest,
Sharon & Mike Bradley and our wonderful staff!
